About Me

About My Project

My name is Ruth (she/her/hers) and I'm a Psychology and German Double Major at Oberlin College. Something that sets Oberlin College apart is its Winter Term Program, where, in the month of January, students are able to pursue an independent project. This provides Oberlin Students a unique opportunity in which to explore various academic and non-academic subjects that we wouldn't be able to in a normal university setting.

This January (2019), I did a shadowing internship with the University of New Mexico Psychiatry Department's Division of Community Behavioral Health in my hometown of Albuquerque, New Mexico. This website contains blog posts about my experiences during this project. This month was one of intense learning and I wanted to document it digitally. I hope you enjoy reading about my experiences during this Winter Term.
